A Massachusetts man has revealed a smart plan after hitting some big money recently on a State Lottery instant game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Leonardo Da Silva Almeida of Medford is the winner of a $1 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “50X” $5 scratch ticket game.
He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to save and invest his winnings.

Almeida purchased his winning ticket at Public Tavern on 565 Broadway in Somerville. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
Three grand prizes of $1,000,000 remain unclaimed for this game.
