Massachusetts man had a feeling before hitting on $2 million State Lottery scratch ticket, here is how he plans to spend it
He said he had a feeling about this ticket and boy was he right as it turned into a big win.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Garen Downie of Hyannis has won a $2 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” $50 instant ticket game.
Downie opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $1,300,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on investing his winnings. He lost some sleep when he won because he couldn’t believe it.
Downie said he works on Nantucket and buys his Lottery tickets there. He purchased his winning ticket at Old South Diner, 57 Old South Rd. in Nantucket. The store receives a $20,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
