Massachusetts man gets a kick out of hitting $1 million State Lottery prize on instant game

A Massachusetts man is all smiles after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Alan D’Allessandro of Worcester is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 instant ticket game.

D’Allessandro, a karate instructor, chose to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

He purchased his winning ticket at Edgemere Mini Mart, 1 Pineland Ave. #9 in Shrewsbury. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$5,000,000 100X Cashword has one $5 million and five $1 million prizes remaining.
