A Massachusetts man is facing a new charge after a teen was killed in a crash.

18-year-old Alexia Nixon of Weymouth passed away at Boston Medical Center after being a passenger in a SUV that was struck head on by an alleged drunken driver in a truck around 12:45 a.m. in the area of 655 Union Street in Braintree on December 1st.

The 18-year-old driver of the SUV and another passenger in his vehicle were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup, Ryan Gorman, 39, of Holbrook, who was also taken to a hospital, pleaded not guilty in his hospital bed on December 2nd to three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury, one count of driving negligently so as to endanger and one count of failing to drive within marked lanes.

He was released on $5,000 cash bail.

Gorman’s was in court in person this time in Quincy District Court on Thursday.

According to WCVB, Gorman was additionally charged with motor vehicle homicide — OUI liquor.

His bail stayed at $5,000 as he left the courtroom.

Nixon was being remembered by those who knew her as a beautiful person inside and out who could be relied on when you needed her.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Nixon had severe brain and other injuries which were too much to overcome.
