Massachusetts man cooks up $10 million State Lottery scratch ticket win
A Massachusetts man recently hit a massive payday on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Michael Fitzgerald is the winner of a $10 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Cash Blast” $20 instant ticket game.
Fitzgerald, a chef from Boylston, chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $6,500,000 (before taxes). He said he chose to play this game because he saw that there were a lot of big prizes remaining.
He bought his winning ticket at Star Liquor, 507 Boston Turnpike (Route 9) in Shrewsbury. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
