Massachusetts man claims $1 million prize after hitting big on scratch ticket at store

A Massachusetts man recently hit it big on a State Lottery scratch ticket in southeastern Massachusetts.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Sean Kelly of Plainville is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” $5 instant ticket game.

Kelly chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

The Lottery stated that Kelly always has the retailer pick his ticket.

He purchased his winning ticket at Kurt’s Corner, 353 Wareham Street. in Middleborough. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

There are no more $1 million prizes left in this game.
