Massachusetts man arrives in style to claim $1 million State Lottery prize, his plan for the cash is heartwarming
A Massachusetts man made quite the entrance when coming to claim big money he won on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Louis Michaud Jr. is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “300X” $30 instant ticket game.
Michaud, who is from Danvers, traveled to the Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters in a limousine to claim his windfall, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use some of his winnings to help pay his sister’s mortgage.
He purchased his winning ticket at Danvers Citgo, 100 High St. in Danvers. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
