Massachusetts man arrested after recording multiple women at department store
A Massachusetts man has been charged after being accused of recording women at a department store.
According to statement by police, on Monday, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Lincoln Police Department responded to Target at the Lincoln Mall for a report of a male allegedly secretly recording women while they shopped.
Upon arrival, officers located the individual, later identified as 23-year-old Joseph Archambault of Millville.
An investigation revealed that Archambault had been using his phone to secretly record multiple women without their knowledge or consent. These recordings took place in the shopping aisles within Target. Surveillance footage from the store corroborated the received reports.
Archambault was immediately placed under arrest and charged with Video Voyeurism.
The Lincoln Police Department thanked the Target Loss Prevention team for their quick actions and cooperation during this incident.
“Their assistance and continued collaboration with our officers were critical in ensuring the safety of shoppers and bringing this case to a swift resolution.”
Archambault’s actions are considered a felony in the state of Rhode Island.
