Massachusetts Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Increases You Might Not Know About

This past July, Massachusetts legislators passed a $57.78 billion dollar budget for fiscal year 2025 with Governor Healey approving the majority of the proposal. The final budget was a $1.7 billion dollar increase over fiscal year 2024.

Some of the line items that saw an increase were proposed due to a “projected need.” Let’s take a look at what departments saw the largest increase in their budget over last year.
