Massachusetts father reportedly stabbed to death protecting his son from group of teens
EVERETT – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Everett Chief of Police Steven Mazzie have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred yesterday around 10:22 p.m. on Cherry Street.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim, a 45-year-old Everett man was stabbed following a brief altercation. When police arrived on scene they located the victim, who was subsequently transported to CHA Everett where he was pronounced dead.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser created to help the family with expenses, family and friends say that Mark Luiso “was the loving father of 3 beautiful boys, including a child on the autistic spectrum, a loving husband and friend to all who knew him. He lived his whole life to support his family and leaves a hole that cannot be filled. He was a man who spent weekends working on his beloved 77′ Monte Carlo with his children and family.”
According to NBC 10 Boston, a group of teens showed up at the son’s home, who is also a teen. There was a fight which ended in Luiso being fatally stabbed in front of a nearby residence.
The investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the Everett Police Department.
