Massachusetts family to reap benefits of woman’s $1 million State Lottery win
A Massachusetts’ woman’s family has to be cheering after she announced how she is spending her big State Lottery win.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Sarah Megarry of Dudley has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Gold Mine 50X” $5 instant ticket game.
Megarry, who was joined by her husband Joe when claiming her prize at Mass Lottery headquarters in Dorchester, opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans to spend her winnings on life, vacation and family.
She purchased her winning ticket at Riverside Mart, 54 Canal St. in Millbury. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
