Massachusetts DOT to perform pothole patching on I-195 which will cause lane closures over 2 days

WESTPORT – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing pothole patching on I-195 eastbound from mile marker 15.2 to 15.4 and westbound from mile marker 15.6 to 15.2. 

The work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday April 2. Work is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday afternoon, April 2.  

Lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups. 

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.     

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.     

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
