Massachusetts DOT: Lane closures to take place on I-195 from Somerset to Fairhaven

SOMERSET TO FAIRHAVEN– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing ancillary structure inspections on I-195 eastbound and westbound from exit 11 to exit 22.

The work is scheduled from the hours of 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, beginning on Monday, December 2. Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday morning, December 6. 

Lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups. 

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.     

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
