Massachusetts DOT announces sweeping, debris removal on 2 Fall River and Somerset bridges
FALL RIVER/SOMERSET– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing highway sweeping and debris removal along the curbs on the Veterans Memorial Bridge including the on/off ramps in Fall River and Somerset. Traffic will be controlled by the use of State Police controlled rolling roadblocks, on Route 6 eastbound and westbound, from mile marker 11.0 to mile marker 11.6, on Tuesday, September 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
MassDOT has also announced that it will be performing highway sweeping and debris removal along the curbs on the Braga Bridge, including the on/off ramps, in Fall River and Somerset. Traffic will be controlled by the use of State Police controlled rolling roadblocks, on I-195 eastbound and westbound, from mile marker 10.5 to mile marker 12.0, on Tuesday, September 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
