Massachusetts DOT announces rolling roadblocks in area of 2 Fall River and Somerset bridges

FALL RIVER/SOMERSET – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing maintenance and debris removal along the curbs on the Braga Bridge, including the on/off ramps in Fall River and Somerset. Traffic will be controlled by the use of State Police controlled rolling roadblocks, on I-195 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 10.5 to mile marker 12.0 on Tuesday, May 21, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next morning.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation is also announcing that it will be performing maintenance and debris removal along the curbs on the Veterans Memorial Bridge including the on/off ramps in Fall River and Somerset. Traffic will be controlled by the use of State Police controlled rolling roadblocks, on Route 6 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 11.0 to mile marker 11.6, on Tuesday, May 21, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next morning.  

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.  

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.   

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
