Massachusetts DOT announces lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound from Seekonk to New Bedford

SEEKONK TO NEW BEDFORD – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing ancillary structure inspections on I-195 eastbound and westbound from Seekonk to New Bedford.

The work is scheduled from the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9th. Work is anticipated to be completed by Thursday evening, January 9th. 

Lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups. 

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.     

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
