Massachusetts DOT announces lane closures for 4 days during the day on I-195 from Somerset to Wareham
SOMERSET TO WAREHAM– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing ancillary structure inspections on I-195 eastbound and westbound from exit 1 to exit 31B. The work is scheduled from the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning on Monday, December 9. Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday afternoon, December 13.
Lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups.
Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
