Massachusetts dog owner cited for leaving dog in hot car for second time in same parking lot
This story is likely to upset animal lovers.
According to Animal Control, they responded Friday afternoon to the parking lot at Costco in Dedham.
They thought the dog looked familiar from a previous ‘in hot car’ incident to which they responded to the same parking lot.
When they returned to their office, they checked their records.
In August 2022, they cited the dog owner for this very same infraction, after a lengthy discussion about the dangers, which fell on argumentative ears.
The dog owner was cited a second time on Friday, clearly leaving Animal Control understandably frustrated.
The owner’s name was not released.

I agree that this person is unable and unwilling to care for this dog. Please rehome the dog before it dies!
