WATERTOWN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Watertown Police Chief Justin Hanrahan have confirmed the ongoing investigation into the deaths of three people at a Boyd Street residence.

At around 10:00 a.m. today Watertown Police responded to Boyd Street for a requested well-being check. Upon arrival police located three residents dead inside from apparent gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation suggests that one of the victims, an elderly woman, lived on one floor of the unit and the two other victims, a male and a female, lived together on the bottom floor in a separate living space in the same unit. All the residents were known to each other. The information gathered at this time indicates that this is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Watertown Police.
