Massachusetts DESE release positive COVID-19 student and faculty cases by school district
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released the number of COVID-19 cases in schools in the state.
According to an Excel spreadsheet issued by DESE, during the first week of school, 63 students were confirmed to have a positive COVID-19 result in Massachusetts.
There were 34 cases among staff.
The report only includes positive cases of students and staff who have been in school for either in-person or hybrid learning. Remote learning cases are not counted.

Dartmouth: 0
Fairhaven: 2 students
Freetown/Lakeville: 1 student
New Bedford: 0
Plymouth: 4 students
