
A Fall River man was injured after a fiery rollover crash Wednesday.
According to Trooper James DeAngelis, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Troopers assigned to the Dartmouth Barracks responded to reports of a roll over crash on Route 24 Southbound south of Exit 8 in Fall River.
Upon arrival, Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Fire discovered a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
MassDOT responded to assist with arrow boards as all traffic was diverted off of Route 79 southbound.
The crash involved a 2007 Ford E350 van operated by a 77-year-old man from Fall River who suffered minor injuries and was issued a citation.
Preliminary investigation stated that a 24-year-old female passenger was not injured.
A 2017 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 50-year-old man from Tiverton, R.I. was also involved in the crash. He was not injured.
Significant guardrail damage also occurred due to the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.









I worked on the scene, only one vehicle involved, a work truck for a plumbing company which contained thousands of tools, parts & equipment. The female passenger was sent to Charlton Hospital for the night with back & neck injuries.
