As of Wednesday, July 25, 2018, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has posted a double red flag warning at Horseneck Beach State Reservation effective immediately due to surf and rip current conditions.

A double red flag warning indicates that the water is closed to the public. Agency lifeguards and staff will continue to inform visitors as they enter the park and at the beach of ocean conditions. Additionally, the beach area and other facilities will remain open.

Surf and rip current conditions will be re-evaluated to determine if the double red flag warning will continue to be posted.
