Massachusetts COVD-19 cases pass 1,100, over 44,000 cases nationwide

Massachusetts has seen 382 more positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 1,159.

120 cases have been found to be transmitted through the community and 86 are related to traveling. 858 are under investigation.

Governor Baker stated that he plans to continue to ramp up testing with 3,500 a day starting early this week.

Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 2054
Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 886
Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 1168

According to the CDC, as of March 24th, the total amount of cases in the country is 44,183 with 544 dead. Massachusetts has seen eleven fatalities.

Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Berkley, New Bedford, Taunton, Lakeville, Easton, Raynham, Mansfield, Attleboro, Middleboro, and Freetown have all seen cases of COVID-19.
