A college student in Massachusetts who hit big money on a lottery drawing will be spending his winnings the same way many college students wish they could.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Jacky Huang of West Springfield is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the multi-state Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the June 10 drawing.

Huang claimed his prize at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. He chose the annuity option and will receive annual payments of $25,000 (before taxes) for the rest of his life.

He said he played his birthday, his sister’s birthday, and his uncle’s birthday as the winning numbers. He plans to put his winnings towards his and his sister’s college tuitions.

He purchased his winning ticket at County Liquors, 272 County Rd. in Southampton. The store receives a $5,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
