It is heartwarming to see someone hit it big on a Massachusetts State Lottery game who can really use the money.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Mark King of Lynn is the winner of a $189,342 prize on a $20 bet while playing “Wheel of Bonuses,” an online-only eInstant game available through Mass Lottery Online.
He claimed his $189,342 prize (before taxes) at the Mass Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester. King, a cancer survivor, plans on putting the winnings toward both his and his mother’s medical care.
Prizes won purchased online of $50,000 or more must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester.
To play Mass Lottery games online, players must be 21 or older and physically located in Massachusetts at the time of play and to make a deposit to their account. Players need to have a Mass Lottery Player Account, which can be created at masslottery.com or by downloading the Mass Lottery app on a mobile device or tablet.
