Massachusetts and Rhode Island men arrested on drug possession and trafficking charges

On Thursday, police in Massachusetts executed an operation leading to multiple charges on three involved individuals and the seizure of 34.79 grams of crack cocaine and $2,315 dollars.

In the preceding months leading up to this operation, the Milford Police Department received multiple complaints regarding drug activity taking place at a residence on Iadarola Ave. in Milford. In response to the information received, the Milford Police Detective Bureau began an investigation into the residence and was able to identify the individuals involved.

On Thursday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau witnessed a hand-to-hand drug transaction at 6 Iadarola Ave. involving occupants of a 2017 Black Jeep Cherokee and a male resident of 6 Iadarola Ave.; as Detectives approached the scene, one male fled on foot into the home while the Jeep Cherokee attempted to leave before being boxed in.

A search of the vehicle and residence led to the arrest of Anthony Jordao, 25, of Woonsocket, RI and criminal summons for John Jordao, 49, of Woonsocket, RI and Dean Murphy, 54, of Milford, MA.

Anthony Jordao has been charged with 1. Cocaine, Trafficking In 18 Grams Or More, Less Than 36 Grams, 2. Cocaine, Possess To Distribute, Subsq., 3. Drug, Possess Class B, 4. Conspiracy To Violate Drug Law, and 5. Cocaine, Distribute, Subsq.off.

Dean Murphy has been charged with Drug, Possess Class B and Conspiracy To Violate Drug Law.
