Massachusetts 7th grader who died suddenly recently made honorary police officer
A Massachusetts boy who had dreams of being a police officer received a special honor after his tragic death.
Today, School Liaison Officer Matthew Donovan presented the family of Charles “Chuck” Demeulle a certificate which recognized Chuck as an Honorary Kingston Police Officer.
According to Kingston Police, Chuck was a 7th grade Silver Lake Regional Middle School student who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year due to an allergic reaction. Chuck was known to have a passion for policing and public service, hoping to become a police officer one day.
Loved ones of Chuck gathered Friday afternoon in memory of Chuck for the dedication ceremony of a new sitting bench at the school property.
Students of SLRMS will now always have a place to pause and rest in memory of Chuck.
Chuck’s family hopes to bring awareness to the serious life-threatening nature of asthma and allergy related reactions. You can learn more about how you can help at: https://aafa.org
