Mansfield, Foxborough, Norton, Plainville, Wrentham respond to Route 495 multi-vehicle rollover crash with several seriously injured
Several towns responded to a serious collision Thursday morning on a Massachusetts highway.
According to the Mansfield Fire Department, at just after 9:15 a.m., the Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a serious multi-vehicle crash with multiple rollovers on Route 495 near mile marker 32.
At the time, all Mansfield Fire Department companies were already engaged in other critical emergencies in town, prompting mutual aid requests to Foxborough, Norton, Plainville, and Wrentham, alongside Mansfield Car 31.
Upon arrival, responders found three vehicles involved, including two that had rolled over, spanning both the northbound and southbound sides of Route 495.
Foxborough Fire transported two patients with serious injuries to Rhode Island Hospital.
Plainville Fire also transported one patient to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
Wrentham Fire transported one patient with minor injuries to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Norton Fire assisted both rescues on scene and aided with vehicle removal operations.
Mansfield FD extended their gratitude to all the mutual aid partners for their quick response and teamwork.
