Man tragically killed by fallen tree in Sudbury
Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix, along with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, report that the Sudbury Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal incident Wednesday afternoon involving a man pinned by a fallen tree.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., Sudbury Police Safety Center received a 911 call regarding a male who had reportedly been struck and pinned by a tree and who appeared to not be breathing.
Upon arrival officers began CPR on the male. Sudbury Fire paramedics arrived on scene and continued providing life-saving efforts.
The 26-year-old male, of Everett, was then transported to Emerson Hospital where, unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sudbury Police Department, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police.
