Man stabbed multiple times in Taunton, suspect in custody
Taunton Police have arrested a man on Assault To Murder charges.
Taunton Police have arrested a man on Assault To Murder charges.
On Saturday morning at 1:45 a.m., it was reported to the Taunton Police Department that a stabbing had occurred on Galligan’s Court and the victim had been taken to Morton Hospital by friends.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that there was a reported altercation inside of Bobby’s Place located on Weir Street. The altercation then continued in the parking lot behind 37 Weir Street. As a result of the altercation behind 37 Weir Street, one man was stabbed repeatedly.
After speaking with the victim, persons involved with the altercation and witnesses to the incident, the Taunton Police Department were able to identify and arrest twenty-nine year old Hector Rodriguez of Taunton. Rodriguez is charged with Assault to Murder and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
The victim was treated at Morton Hospital and is expected to survive the assault.
