Man seriously injured in Saturday crash in Wareham
At approximately 12:45 p.m., today, Troopers from State Police–Bourne responded to a single –vehicle rollover crash on Route 25 eastbound near the 2.2 mile marker in Wareham, which resulted in serious injury to the operator.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 65-year-old man from Sagamore Beach was traveling on Route 25 East in a 1995 Ford Ranger when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and rolled over into the median. The driver and sole occupant was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Tobey Hospital and then transported by medical helicopter to Beth Israel Hospital.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Wareham EMS.
