Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III announced that a 44-year-old was convicted Thursday after a jury trial in the Fall River Superior Court of Aggravated Rape of Child with a 5-year age Difference, Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child under 14 and Posing/Exhibiting a Child in a Sexual Act.

Andrew Amado of Quincy was sentenced by the Court Thursday afternoon and will serve a State Prison sentence of 34-40 years.

This case stems from conduct by Amado between December of 2014 and October 2018 against a young child within his family. Some of the acts against the child were recorded.  The conduct for which Amado was convicted included having another individual consume his own bodily fluids.  This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Silvia Rudman and Jennifer Czapiga.

“The defendant engaged in utterly depraved conduct that is difficult to comprehend against a very young member of his own family.  The lengthy sentence imposed by the Court is entirely appropriate,” District Attorney Tom Quinn said.
