Man pleads not guilty, released on personal recognizance, after being accused of exposing himself, committing lewd act, at southeastern Massachusetts beach

CARVER — Chief Marc Duphily announced that the Carver Police Department arrested a 36-year-old man on Saturday, charging him with open and gross lewdness after an investigation.
On Friday, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Carver Police received a report of a man exposing himself and committing a lewd act at the beach at Sampson’s Pond on Lakeview Street. Officers responded but found the suspect had already left. Carver Police alerted nearby law enforcement agencies, and within 25 minutes, Marion Police located and identified the suspect, John Senna of Marion.
Following a detailed investigation, Carver Police obtained an arrest warrant, and the suspect was taken into custody at around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
He is charged with open and gross lewdness and pled not guilty at Monday’s arraignment in Wareham District Court. Senna was released on personal recognizance and is ordered to stay away from Sampson Pond.
