Man killed after collision with Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority train

A man was killed Tuesday evening after a collision with a Massachusetts train.
According to the Superintendent of the Transit Police Department, Richard Sullivan, an adult male while trespassing on the right of way at Brockton Station was struck by an MBTA Commuter rail train.
The male was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.
TPD and representations of the Plymouth County DA’s Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
Sullivan issued condolences to those who knew the deceased.
“On behalf of the TPD and the entire MBTA organization we offer our most sincere condolences to the decedent’s family and friends.”
The incident has caused delays on the Fall River line.
