Man held on $300 cash bail after Fall River Police say he exposed himself in McDonald’s play area

A man was held on bail Tuesday after a reported disturbing incident.

According to police, on Monday, Officers responded to a disturbance at McDonald’s on President Ave, where an intoxicated male, later identified as Robert DeMello, was reported to have exposed himself in the play area, alarming customers and dropping an unknown quantity of pills.

After fleeing the scene, officers quickly located Robert and placed him in custody. Initially providing a false identity, hospital records later confirmed his true name, revealing two active warrants.

A subsequent search of his belongings uncovered several illegal substances.

DeMello was arrested for the charges of open and gross lewdness, drug possession, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, and outstanding warrants.

He pled not guilty and was held on $300 cash bail.

DeMello’s next scheduled court appearance is a pretrial hearing on March 11th.
