It appears that a man is making some wise decisions on how he plans on spending his $1 million State Lottery prize.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Sevan Garabettian of Enfield, CT is the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “Ghostbusters™” instant ticket game that went on sale Tuesday, September 9th.

Garabettian chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on purchasing a new home and investing with the winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Quick Pic, 1 River Rd. in Agawam. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket. Garabettian won $10,000 the week before on an instant ticket sold at the same location.

The “Ghostbusters™” instant ticket includes two more instant grand prizes of $1 million.
