Man facing several charges after allegedly threatening to kill people while armed in Fall River
A man is facing several charges after a reported incident Tuesday in Fall River.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 6:00 p.m., units responded to the area of 181 South Main Street after multiple reports were made regarding an unwanted male in the area who had been yelling and screaming at residents in the area.
Upon arrival, officers were advised that the man had been threatening to kill people as he walked down the street for approximately 1 hour. He also reportedly pushed a female after a brief verbal exchange.
The officers were able to locate the man further down the street as he continued to cause a disturbance while walking down the street.
28-year-old Raul Alamo Loran was taken into custody without incident and charged with disturbing the peace while armed, assault and battery, terroristic threats and assault with a dangerous weapon.
At Wednesday’s arraignment, an order for examination as to competence to stand trial was issued for Alamo Loran.
