Man facing charges after Somerset Police investigate urn being dug up at town cemetery

Police have issued a criminal complaint concerning a disturbing incident that allegedly took place at a local cemetery.

Somerset Chief of Police William Tedford confirmed to Fall River Reporter that an urn was dug up at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset on March 21st.

Chief Tedford stated that the urn was dug up over some type of family dispute.

Friday, Somerset Police issued a summons for Gregory Rego on charges of Disturbing a Grave and Disinter Body (removing a body from its burial site).

His arraignment is scheduled for May 19th in Fall River District Court.
