Winning big money on the lottery isn’t easy, but when you do, it can be life changing as is the case for this man.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Joseph DeFeudis of Pelham, NH is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the multi-state Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the November 16th drawing.

DeFeudis claimed his prize Thursday, January 2 at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $390,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on retiring with the winnings.

He bought his winning ticket at Ted’s Stateline Mobil, 551 Broadway in Methuen.

Lucky for Life drawings are conducted seven nights a week.
