Massachusetts State Police recently made arrest concerning an alleged incident.

According to Massachusetts State Police, dispatch notified a Trooper from the Middleborough Barracks about a pursuit by Freetown Police.

Police in Rhode Island and Massachusetts sought to stop the vehicle because a female passenger called 911 and stated that she was being held at gunpoint by the operator. The Trooper quickly joined the pursuit but terminated when the vehicle traveled the wrong way up an off-ramp on Route 44 in Raynham.

A short time later, the Trooper discovered the vehicle behind a shopping mall after it drove through a fence and became disabled. The operator fled on foot, leaving behind the female passenger, and her 3-year-old son in the vehicle. After a brief search, the subject was located hiding nearby and arrested.

Police did not release the name of the suspect.
