Man and pet dog dead, juvenile seriously injured, after Plymouth County collision
Crews responded to a fatal crash this weekend that also injured another.
According to police, on Saturday, at just before 7:30 p.m., the Abington Police Department responded to report(s) of a single-motor vehicle crash near 700 Richard A. Fitts Drive.
The operator of the motor vehicle, a 44-year-old Dedham MA man, was pronounced dead on scene. The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of his next of kin.
A juvenile passenger was airlifted to a Boston Hospital with serious injuries.
Additionally, a small dog from the vehicle was unfortunately discovered dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section (CARS) and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
