Local woman pleads for justice at Fall River Justice Center claiming her biological father raped her
FALL RIVER ─ A local woman and her family came out publicly on Friday asking for justice and prosecution of her biological father that she claims raped her when she was 3 ½ years old.
Flanked by family and supporters in front of the Fall River Justice Center, 23-year-old Aleciana Gonzalez made the claims against Aneudy Neo Gonzalez, the co-founder of Fall River-based Mass Care Link and a licensed attorney.
Aleciana Gonzalez, a teacher at B.M.C. Durfee High School, and her mother Alecia Ward, first reported the incident to police 20 years ago and again late last year when they discovered Gonzalez was being prosecuted in another case.
Both times, the Bristol County District Attorney’s office declined to take on the young woman’s case.
Gonzalez is currently facing another unrelated case in alleged child sexual assault.
The Fall River Reporter was the first to report that Gonzalez was arrested on a Fall River police warrant in Florida earlier this year, then extradited, and is facing four counts of rape of a child and indecent assault of a child.
Gonzalez, 44, who resides in Boca Raton, was taken into custody by Broward County sheriffs at the Broward County airport in May after a warrant was issued in Florida in February.
It was the second time the Fall River Police Department investigated Gonzalez for the alleged rape and assault of the same victim.
Since his arrest, the Bristol County District Attorney’s office has downgraded the child sexual abuse charges.
He is currently free on $10,000 cash bail.
