Local police looking for home improvement man that allegedly stole from 81-year-old victim
Local police are looking for a man that they say stole thousands from an elderly woman.
According to police, 38-year-old Richard A. McDermott is wanted by the Bristol PD for Obtaining Property (money) under False Pretenses or Personation and Exploitation of an Elder.
The 81-year-old victim hired McDermott to complete bathroom renovations and provided him with a $3,500 deposit. Richard cashed the check and stopped all communications with her.
