Local mother says student threatened to shoot daughter like Charlie Kirk at Swansea school
A local mother took to social media to express her concerns after an incident involving her daughter.
The woman stated that on Friday, her daughter came home and shared that a freshman boy randomly approached her and a friend and said, “I’m going to shoot you in the face. Like Charlie Kirk.”
The mother said that she immediately contacted the school (Case High School) first thing Monday morning. They reportedly were able to identify the student and take swift action.
“He is no longer in school, and under those circumstances I do feel it’s safe for my daughter to return.”
The mom expressed her feelings concerning school notification or lack thereof.
“What doesn’t sit right with me is that no other families were notified. Even though this was an unprovoked, random threat, I believe every parent should be made aware when something this serious occurs—especially in today’s world.
“Thankfully my daughter feels safe, and we’re taking extra precautions. Please, talk with your kids and remind them that any threat—no matter how offhand—must be taken seriously and reported immediately. Stay alert, stay connected, and keep the conversation open.”
The mother has since updated Fall River Reporter and has stated the boy is now back at school.
Fall River Reporter contacted the school, and we have not yet received a response.
