Local man hits $1 million dollar prize in instant game
The Massachusetts State Lottery has announced another local $1 million prize winner.
Joseph McGowan of Seekonk is the second $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “50X Payout” instant game.
McGowan chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He purchased his winning ticket while getting coffee at Smart Stop Convenience, 417 Taunton Ave. in Seekonk. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
Three additional $1 million prizes have yet to be claimed in the $5 “50X” instant game.
