Local man arrested on child molestation charges Wednesday
Police have arrested a local man on multiple child molestation charges.
According to Detective Lieutenant Michael Arnold, today at 6:25 a.m., The U.S. Marshals/ RI State Police Fugitive Task Force executed a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Jess Roderiques at his home, where he was taken into custody.
The investigation began in March 2018 by the Portsmouth Police Detective Division. The charges stem from Roderiques inappropriately touching a child in Portsmouth in the summer of 2010.
Roderiques was charged with three counts of 2nd degree child molestation.
Roderiques was arraigned in Superior Court this morning and bail was set at $25,000.00 with surety.
