Local company surprising mothers ahead of Mother’s Day
(Providence, RI) – A local company is looking to reward mothers ahead of their special day on Sunday.
This weekend, staff from “Surv” will be surprising local moms with free flowers as an expression of gratitude and appreciation.
This Mother’s Day event is an annual tradition that’s been part of the company since its launch over ten years ago.
“At Surv, we aim to be a light in our communities,” says founder Pat Brown who will be leading the event with Community Partner Cody Crowder. “We believe small acts of love can bring us all together…there’s nothing like a flower to brighten a mother’s day!”
Surv is an odd-jobs company whose mission is to build stronger communities through service by partnering local residents in need of a helping hand (such as parents and grandparents) with young adults called “Locals.”
Locals are trained to execute a variety of jobs for one hourly rate including moving, painting, landscaping, junk removal and furniture assembly. But they’re also trained to see the task in front of them as more than just an odd job and to look for opportunities for meaningful connection.
