Local bus company issues touching tribute after sudden passing of beloved 44-year-old
A local woman who clearly made an impact on co-workers, family, and friends, has died.
Fisher Bus Co. issued a touching tribute concerning the passing of 44-year-old Bethany Botelho of Somerset.
“It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking word of the sudden passing of Beth Botelho.
“Beth was a dedicated and valued employee at Fisher Bus for many years, especially in her role as Charter Coordinator. Her genuine nature gave her the ability to connect deeply with customers and colleagues alike and helped foster an excellent working environment. She excelled in her role and took immense pride in her work.
“But Beth was more than that here at Fisher Bus. She was a boisterous and fun presence; a compassionate and caring colleague; and most of all, a dear friend. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her, and our prayers are with Beth, her sons, and her family.
“To help support her two boys and her family during this difficult time, a collection will be made in the office in her memory.”
According to an obituary, Botelho “loved being a mother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and the moments that mattered most to her were often the simplest ones—shared conversation, familiar laughter, and the comfort of being together.
“Beth also found joy in the everyday things that make a life sweet: baking for the people she loved, getting lost in a good book, and soaking up the summertime. These were the rhythms of her days, and they are the memories that will linger—quiet, vivid, and close.”
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, prior to the service.
