Local appliance retailer lending a hand to stranded Nate Lions customers

A Fall River appliance company is looking to help customers stranded by the abrupt closing of Nate Lions Appliance World.

Without warning, Nate Lions closed their doors earlier this week leaving many customers who recently made a purchase from the store stranded with not much recourse.

Iz Schwartz Appliance, Inc. at 110 Slades Ferry Avenue Rt. 6 Somerset, has issued a statement to help those Nate Lions customers who recently received or never received their merchandise.

“To all Nate Lion’s customers,
We want you to know we are here to help in any way we can. We are always here for our customers, and would like to make our staff available to you as well. We don’t mind that you did not buy from us, we are still happy to answer your questions. If you are concerned about obtaining service under warranty, we can even set up warranty service for you. In the unfortunate event you paid for appliances, and did not receive them, and need to repurchase them, just stop by with a copy of your order, and we will sell you the same appliances at cost. We want to do everything we can to try to help make this terrible situation a little better. We have been a long standing business in the community now for four generations. I am the third generation here in our Somerset store, and before us, my Great Grandfather had Schwartz Lumber over in Fall River. This community means a lot to us, and we want to do what we can to help. Please feel free to reach out if we can be of any assistance.”

Customers who have bought merchandise, but have not received it, can contact the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office at 617-727-8400 or you can contact your credit card company if you paid for your order by that means.

Repeated attempts to reach Nate Lions have been unsuccessful.
