Lizzie Borden House puts support behind new Lizzie-themed Fall River business
A new Fall River business is receiving support from another business who share’s their name.
In a statement Thursday, the Lizzie Borden House congratulated Lizzie’s Choppers on the grand opening of their new motorcycle hobby shop located at 482 Spring Street.
“Lizzie’s Choppers is set to become a beloved addition to the vibrant community of Fall River,
offering a unique space for motorcycle enthusiasts and hobbyists. The Lizzie Borden House has always been a proud supporter and customer of many small businesses in Fall River. The new shop pays homage to the spirit of Lizzie Borden, a figure deeply rooted in Fall River’s
history, and brings fresh, exciting energy to our city’s local economy. As neighbors in this historic city, we are excited to see Lizzie’s Choppers flourish. Their commitment to
serving their customers with high-quality parts, custom builds, and expert services is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit needed to drive Fall River forward. We encourage everyone to visit Lizzie’s Choppers and support their new business. Congratulations to Lizzie’s Choppers on their grand opening! We look forward to seeing the business thrive.”
Fall River Reporter asked a spokesperson for the Lizzie Borden House if they had any stake in the chopper business.
“We do not have a stake in Lizzie’s Choppers. We just share the namesake and want to support our local Fall River businesses.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a legal battle between US Ghost Adventures, LLC and owner Lance Zaal, who owns the Lizzie Borden House, against their neighbor, Miss Lizzie’s Coffee, over the coffee shop’s signage with hatchets and the name Miss Lizzie’s.
In October, United States District Judge Leo Sorokin denied a Motion for a Temporary Restraining order, or a Preliminary Injunction requested by US Ghost Adventures, LLC against the coffee shop.
